Due to the persistent pandemic situation associated with COVID-19, the planned projects, which bear the legacy of Karel Gott, are being postponed.
“I am very sorry that I have to announce to all my husband’s fans, even those who were looking forward to the planned projects, that the documentary Karel, the memorial concerts Tribute to Karel Gott and his book autobiographies are moving forward. I decided to do so after a long and mature consideration, mainly due to the persistent pandemic situation in the Czech Republic and in the world associated with COVID-19. However, I firmly believe that we will understand me all in the interest of health, “says Ivana Gottová, Executive Director of the Karel Gott Agency.
Autobiography Karla Gotta
Due to the fact that Ivana Gottová obtained a large number of unique photographs and documents that were never published before last year, the deadline for completing the book was extended. But now the work on image documentation is finalizing.
“I am very well aware that no other authentic autobiography of my husband, Karel Gott, will be published. I therefore felt obliged to provide these materials to the public in the book. It would be a great pity if I deprived my husband’s supporters of them. I can already tell you that the book will be large-format and will contain, on 700 pages, in addition to the husband’s texts, which he managed to complete during his lifetime, also around 1,700 photographs and documents. Believe me, I am finishing the book with the whole team with the best of my knowledge and conscience so that the deceased husband remains here with a dignified memory and is exactly in line with his ideas, and so that not only his whole family but especially you, his loyal supporters and dear fans. “
The final date of publication of the book will be directed to the summer of 2021 on the occasion of the late 82nd birthday of Karel Gott.
Documentary film Karel
The current situation does not allow the film to be released in cinemas, so we firmly believe that the newly chosen date of September 30, 2021, is already realistic.
Tribute to Karel Gott
“We are afraid that mass events and concerts will be very limited in the near future. In order not to have to reduce the number of seats in the O2 arena and so that everyone who bought tickets can take part in the tribute to the Tribute to Karel Gott, we decided to move the deadline to June next year, ”explains Ivana Gottová. The concerts will take place on June 19 and 20, 2022.
Tickets purchased for the original or replacement concert dates remain valid and do not need to be exchanged. The following applies:
- Tickets from 15 December 2020 (or 5 June 2021) are valid for the new date 19 June 2022.
- Tickets from 16 December 2020 (or 6 June 2021) are valid for the new date 20 June 2022.
“I hope that the pandemic situation will improve and that life will gradually return to normal. Thank you to everyone who constantly sends me beautiful letters, emails and messages, and I wish from the bottom of my heart that everyone who loved our beloved Karel understood our decision. I wish you good health, nerves and optimism for the next days, weeks and months. I think about you a lot, your Ivana Gottová. “
